Relocating Tinkering School to Elkus Ranch sounded so simple. Put up a few bunkbeds here, set up a worktable there, and we’re ready to go. Until one of the rooms isn’t available. And one end of the barn is bat (guano) central. And Gever decides he needs everything from the studio. Thanks to Steve, Jiro, Liz, Theo, Piper and Fiona for all their help getting things ready. Day 1 – here we come!

Everything??

Everything??Theo isn’t sure gever is serious about taking _everything_ from the studio out to Elkus Ranch.

Double Zonkey

Double ZonkeyToo far for an Elkus outing, the setup crew swings by to visit the zonkey – only to find a second zonkey!

No dustbunny left unturned

No dustbunny left unturnedGever is appreciating the extremely rectilinear construction of his house.

Lift that chin a bit

Lift that chin a bitJiro is curious as to just how many of these things he can stack in Theo’s arms before the ever-present grin fades.

Goats, donkeys and 2x4s

Goats, donkeys and 2x4sPiper totes another armload of supplies into the barn, which apparently is already commonplace for the barnyard inhabitants.

Washing the Whiteboard

Washing the WhiteboardWhat would Tinkering School be without a whiteboard?! Fiona makes sure it’s pristine and ready to be filled with ideas. Piper looks like she’s already got one in mind.

Fill ‘er up

Fill Jiro explains that the truck needs to be completely filled before lunch can happen. His crew can’t believe their ears.

Butterfly

ButterflyPiper takes a moment to appreciate a little local color.

Shelf Life

Shelf LifeRobyn brings the crucial shelving, so that the studio contents can be re-assembled in the barn. But first the shelves have to be assembled.

Ready for Action

Ready for ActionSteve climbs up into the rafters (without jealous Gever) to document the quiet before the storm.

Supply Central

Supply CentralThe contents of the studio has been successfully relocated, organized, categorized, contained, arrayed and tagged. Nice work, everyone!

Job Well Done

Job Well DoneFiona and Piper ride the trusty BGRNOTH back home after a job well done. (Just kidding, they only rode it down the driveway.)

Your Moment of Zen

(just be glad it’s been edited and super-sped-up :-)

Elkus Ranch Barn Transformation

Busy bees and a hive of activity. Or is that a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off? Or maybe ants marching? Zonkeys on the move? Or Tinkerers on task?
