Often, we have the feeling that when we walk in the door on Monday morning, someone hits the fast forward button, and the next 5 days fly by.
"Raise you hand if you made a mistake today!" (hands go up all around the circle) "Now, turn to your right or to your left, and use that hand to give someone sitting near you a high five!"
Wednesday here in SF, and these girls really hit the gas today. We learned some best practices for building with plywood, which sometimes meant making some improvements to our work from the previous days. That was a-ok with everyone though, because today we focused on trying extra hard, even when things were challenging.
Each week here at the Tinkering School, we build an entirely unique set of projects, with an entirely unique group of kids. So, instead we focus on a set of social and emotional goals. Like, "Collaborate and make friends."
