We’re finally Tinkering with power tools again!

Come join us this fall for some safe, hands-on building fun as we collaborate and construct large scale projects from our imaginations!

COVID-19 Preparedness: Safety is always our #1 priority at Tinkering School. To reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, we are following all San Francisco Department of Public Health directives and guidance regarding Out of School Time activities including requirements for all staff and Tinkerers to maintain:

6 feet social distancing
Constant mask usage outside of snack time
Regular hand washing/sanitation, daily sanitation of the work shop and tools
Programs no bigger than 12 campers, lasting for a minimum of 3 weeks
Staff will only work with one program cohort at a time

Tinkering with Wood
(Ages 8-13)

We aim to empower kids with a sense that the world is malleable. Kids learn that they are agents of change who can grasp complex problems and express their creative ideas clearly. In each after school session, the project is a surprise, but our goals are the same: make friends, learn from failure, try really hard, and build something big! In this program, we will be Tinkering with wood, power tools, and an assortment of hardware and other unusual construction materials. Scholarships are available and requests are welcomed!

Sessions run 4:00 - 5:45pm
Drop-off starts at 3:45pm
Pick-up ends at 6:00pm

Waitlists: If your preferred session is full, be sure to still add your name to the waitlist. Spots occasionally open up and it’s free of charge to join.

Dates: 3 week sessions (6 days total)

According to SFDPH guidance, Tinkerers may only participate in one Out of School Time (OST) program at a time (whether through Tinkering School or other orgs).
