Mini Golf - Week 5
Five down and three to go! Only three more sessions left and our mini golf course is getting closer and closer to being finished.
Ideas this big demand creative thinking as well as learning new skills. Our teams have been hard at work finding solutions to their building challenges while also having fun testing out their projects.
Each team has been learning how to use new tools and materials. This week the band saw and jig saw were heavy hitters!
We started out the day with a call and response music session led by Clay and Bridger!
Dragon Golf Team:
Ava and Conrad used the jigsaw for the first time to cut plywood for the sides of the dragon’s body.
Ava and Conrad also worked as a team to carefully cut their dragon’s head on the band saw. This took a lot of time and focus, but the Dragon Golf team was happy with their results!
As Ava and Conrad cut pieces for the golf ball pit and dragon body, Audrey focused on attaching the plywood to the frames. She also spearheaded an amazing list of name choices for their Dragon… Stay tuned to find out which name will be the final selection!

Blobby Dog Team:
Clay and Bridger made a great team as they built the frame for Blobby Dog’s bed, while Niam kept working on Blobby Dog’s house. Now that’s the face of determination!
Niam makes works on making Blobby Dog’s house more structurally sound.

Zane and Owen get the Volcano frame ready for fabric.
The Volcano Team used fabric and a staple gun to create the exterior of their volcano and last but not least…LAVA!
The decorations begin!!!
The group meets back up to show off their completed putters.
