TSO-B: We think trees rock!

We are starting off with a bang in session 2 of overnight! To follow are pictures and stories that detail our first 3 days.

Tool training starts with a drill demo. Tinkerers continued with practicing these new skills with small builds. -Blaise tests out a hexagon wheel while Blue and Miles screw in the legs of a table.

Tool training continues with how to use clamps and the chop-saw well! Pictured above is Wyatt practicing a chop-saw cut.

The first evening winds down with the makings of a cup of hot chocolate by Madelyn, Jaime, and Claire.

The first full build day starts off with boatloads of progress! We are building up and in the trees and already have good supports. Pictured above are Lily, Blue, Nicky, Noa, and Claire's various pully systems, the tree stump group (Arantxa, Harrison, Vaughn, and Blaise) building the supports to their platform, and the introduction to our project provocation- Tree platform central!

At tinkering school we like to plan out our projects and design by drawing - demonstrated above by Arantxa, Miles, and Vaghn as well as Yujie.

Technical skills are needed to complete this project… Lily works with a ratchet strap, Blue uses the angle grinder and Mason handles triangles with the band saw!

At the end of our second build day platforms are going up featuring Dashel, Mason, Wyatt, Calixte, Lucian James, and Max. Everyone also did knife training and earned a tinkering school knife to help with cutting paracord and whittling when lashing our supports to the trees.

To put an end to this blog and our story (for now) is the designated camp dog Tate getting loved on by the tinkerers after a long days work.
