Founded in 2005 by Gever Tulley, at Tinkering School, we believe that kids are more capable than they know, and to prove it, we give them real tools to solve real problems. By learning through doing, we strive to make mistakes and learn from them, collaborate and make friends, and try harder than usual.
With wood, with metal, with cardboard, and sometimes with paint, Tinkerers work with one another as well as our unique staff to team-design and team-create amazing projects.

- Summer Day camp, where we build in a full wood shop, have lunch at the park, and everyone can work on multiple projects.
- At Overnight camp during the summer, we build for seven days all together and really get to know each other.
- Our Weekend Workshops and Break Camps run whenever there's a break from school, bringing kids from all over the Bay Area.
- In our After School program, we explore building with wood, welding, and other materials over the course of two months.
